Sangbad: The Chronicle of a Nation and the Guardian of Truth
From May 17,
1951, to 2026 spanning 75 glorious years 'Sangbad' has stood not merely as a newspaper but
as a living testament to the history of Bangladesh. From the rhythmic hum of
rotary machines in Old Dhaka’s Bangshal Road to the cutting-edge digital
platforms of today, Sangbad has been the lighthouse of courage for the nation
through every crisis.
Our Heritage Initiated
with a progressive vision by Ahmedul Kabir and nurtured by the pens of
legendary journalists like Zahur Hossain Chowdhury, Santosh Gupta, and
Shahidullah Kaiser, Sangbad became the voice of the voiceless. We stood firm
during the 1952 Language Movement, the 1966 Six-Point Charter, the 1969
Uprising, and the 1971 Liberation War. Even after being razed to the ground by
occupation forces on the night of March 25, 1971, Sangbad rose from the ashes
like a phoenix.
Our Mission & Values
75 Years of
Trust In an era of misinformation and fake news, Sangbad remains a hallmark
of authenticity. We don’t just report news; we document history. As long as
Bangladesh exists, Sangbad will remain the vigilant guardian of truth.
